Levels of Service
This service includes Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling, and Typos. Turnaround time for proofreads tends to be shorter, and, for this reason, it is the most economical option of the three. I recommend this service for papers and projects that have been through the drafting process at least once.
This service includes Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling and Typos, Sentence Structure, and Usage and Diction. It takes longer than proofreading. During a basic edit, I can average about 10,000 words per day. Here, what I am looking for are patterns of error. Basic edits, for me, involve a lot of cataloguing. I want the writer to see not just where errors are happening but why.
This service includes Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling and Typos, Sentence Structure, Usage and Diction, A Style Sheet if requested, Passive Voice, Rhythm and Repetition, Logic and Consistency, and Content Critique. This service is the most in-depth level of editing I offer. I recommend it for writing that has not yet been through the drafting process. During a complete edit, I can average about 5,000 words per day. Here, I am proofreading and cataloguing error patterns as well as addressing the larger structural concerns of the writing. In the case of academic writing, is the argument consistent and well-defended? Does the writer commit any formal or informal logical fallacies? For creative and business writing, content criticism will depend largely on genre and the writer’s own goals.

In addition to a $25 flat fee, costs for editorial services
are calculated by the word. Three variables determine
your per-word cost: 1) type of writing, 2) level of edit,
and 3) deadline.
